Researchers Whip up Soy-Based 3D-Printing Resin

Microscale objects 3D printed by the researchers using soy bean oil-based resin and a mixture of soybean oil-based resin and lignin-based material. Resolution achieved was as fine as 1 micron. AESO/VDM1 “contains the maximum amount of VDM possible to dissolve in AESO without any solvent at 40 °C.” (Image courtesy of polymers.)
